A little care goes a long way
Keep the comfort
you love, longer.
Simple, thoughtful care for Shaiyaa bedsheets, quilts and dohars — from the first wash to the way you store them.

Rest easy.
Before you begin
Four gentle habits
for every wash.
Check the care label
Follow any product-specific instructions first, especially for quilts, trims or special finishes.
Wash colours separately
Keep lights and darks apart. Wash new, deep-coloured prints separately for the first few washes.
Choose a gentle wash
Use a mild detergent and a cool or lukewarm cycle. Avoid bleach and harsh stain removers.
Give it room
Don’t overload the machine. Bedding needs space to rinse and move without stressing seams or quilting.
Care by product
Each layer, cared for.
When in doubt, use the gentlest method shown on the product’s own care label.

For everyday comfort
Bedsheets
Keep the colours fresh and the fabric soft with a simple routine.
- Machine wash separately or with similar colours on a gentle cycle.
- Use mild detergent; skip bleach and fabric softener where possible.
- Line dry in shade or tumble dry on low. Remove promptly to reduce creasing.
- Iron on a cotton-appropriate setting if needed, following the care label.

For a little extra warmth
Quilts
Protect the filling and stitching by treating your quilt gently.
- Check the label before washing; some quilts need a large-capacity machine or professional cleaning.
- If machine washable, wash alone on a gentle, cool cycle with mild detergent.
- Do not wring or twist. Support the quilt when lifting it while wet.
- Dry completely in shade, turning and fluffing it occasionally so the filling dries evenly.

For light, breathable layering
Dohars
Keep the lightweight layers airy, clean and ready for the next nap.
- Wash separately or with similar colours on a gentle, cool cycle.
- Use mild detergent and avoid bleach or harsh scrubbing.
- Line dry in shade; spread it out fully and turn once for even drying.
- Fold only when completely dry to help prevent mustiness.

The finishing touch
Let the air do its work.
Sunlight can help bedding dry, but long hours in harsh direct sun may fade colours. Whenever possible, dry in a breezy, shaded spot. Make sure every layer — especially quilted or filled pieces — is fully dry before folding or putting it away.
Between uses
Store it fresh and ready.
Clean and fully dry
Store only after washing and drying completely.
Fold loosely
Give quilts and dohars room; avoid heavy compression for long periods.
Choose a dry shelf
Keep bedding away from damp, direct sunlight and strong fragrances.
